气密性检测机是在工件(以下称作工件)内部充填了示踪气体,通过用内置在探测器里的气体传感器检测出从工件中渗漏出来的气体，找出部件和（半）制品的断裂和漏孔等缺陷的气体检漏装置｡利用这种原理检测轮辋的焊接质量，通过检测气体的泄漏量来判断产品是否合格。

本机由主机、液压传动装置和电器控制装置三个部分组成，主机包括：1机身、2下模具、 3上模具 、4 工作台、5 油缸 。

主机和液压传动装置安装在混凝土基础上，基础见附图所示，电气箱固定在机身侧面。
